A STORY ABOUT CHRISTMAS!!!

A very merry christmas to Naija!!!. Its a day to slutter the chicken and dress the salad. Above all a day to eat uncontrollably...lol.  Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. Christians believe Christ is the son of God. No one knows the exact date of Christ's birth so in the 4th Century, Pope Julius I chose December 25th.

Celebrations Around the World

Christmas is celebrated worldwide in a variety of ways:
  • In Brazil a turkey dinner is made on Christmas Eve and Saint Nicholas brings presents for children on December 6th.
  • Christmas is a three-day event in Finland, starting with rice porridge and plum fruit juice Christmas Eve morning. Many families also visit cemeteries and put candles on the graves of family members.
  • In Portugal, Father Christmas leaves gifts under the tree or in shoes by the fireplace. The special dinner is usually salted cod fish with boiled potatoes and is eaten at midnight on Christmas Eve.

What's the Deal With Santa?

But where did Santa come from? In the 4th century a shy bishop in Turkey named Saint Nicholas would leave goodies for children. Dutch children called him Sinter Klass and made it a tradition to put shoes by the fireplace to put gifts in. Dutch settlers told the legend of Sinter Klaas when they came to North America and he quickly became known as Santa Claus.

In North America, the Santa we know today is a grandfatherly man with a round belly, a bushy white beard and a red and white suit. Santa used to wear a lot of different colored suits but Coca-Cola popularized the red outfit that he wears today. Artist Haddon Sundblom began drawing Santa Claus for a Coca-Cola ad campaign in 1930.

SEE PHOTOS OF THE EFFECTS OF BLEACHING YOUR SKIN.

So the latest trend for ladies now and even some men...but mostly ladies...is becoming lighter than the natural complexion God gave to them. Now I begin to wonder why they go through all that trouble when you are actually living a life of a lie.  Some do it to get noticed while others feel they are prettier with a lighter shade of complexion.  The most annoying part is people bleach their skin using cheap products which results to damaged skin as seen in the photos above. They see celebrities on TV and want to be like them and little do they know that these stars spend a gulping amount of money to maintain that look. Sometimes the lightenings of  the cameras make their skin look brighter than normal.  Hmmn,my dear bleaching your skin won't make that guy or girl love you more neither will it make your self worth increase, rather it decreases and you need a really good shrink to counsel you about self esteem. Black is beautiful. Say no to bleaching!!!

HERE IS A LETTER SOMEONE WROTE TO DONALD TRUMP CONCERNING HIS MUSLIM BAN.

Today I went & stood in front of Trump Tower & held a sign until the police came. Then I went home & wrote Donald a letter. Here it is:
Dear Donald Trump:
You may remember (you do, after all, have a "perfect memory!"), that we met back in November of 1998 in the green room of a talk show where we were both scheduled to appear one afternoon. But just before going on, I was pulled aside by a producer from the show who said that you were "nervous" about being on the set with me. She said you didn't want to be "ripped apart" and you wanted to be reassured I wouldn't "go after you."
"Does he think I'm going to tackle him and put him in a choke hold?" I asked, bewildered.
"No," the producer replied, "he just seems all jittery about you."
"Huh. I've never met the guy. There's no reason for him to be scared," I said. "I really don't know much about him other than he seems to like his name on stuff. I'll talk to him if you want me to."
And so, as you may remember, I did. I went up and introduced myself to you. "The producer says you're worried I might say or do something to you during the show. Hey, no offense, but I barely know who you are. I'm from Michigan. Please don't worry -- we're gonna get along just fine!"
You seemed relieved, then leaned in and said to me, "I just didn't want any trouble out there and I just wanted to make sure that, you know, you and I got along. That you weren't going to pick on me for something ridiculous."
"Pick on" you? I thought, where are we, in 3rd grade? I was struck by how you, a self-described tough guy from Queens, seemed like such a fraidey-cat.
You and I went on to do the show. Nothing untoward happened between us. I didn't pull on your hair, didn't put gum on your seat. "What a wuss," was all I remember thinking as I left the set.
And now, here we are in 2015 and, like many other angry white guys, you are frightened by a bogeyman who is out to get you. That bogeyman, in your mind, are all Muslims. Not just the ones who have killed, but ALL MUSLIMS.
Fortunately, Donald, you and your supporters no longer look like what America actually is today. We are not a country of angry white guys. Here's a statistic that is going to make your hair spin: Eighty-one percent of the electorate who will pick the president next year are either female, people of color, or young people between the ages of 18 and 35. In other words, not you. And not the people who want you leading their country.
So, in desperation and insanity, you call for a ban on all Muslims entering this country. I was raised to believe that we are all each other's brother and sister, regardless of race, creed or color. That means if you want to ban Muslims, you are first going to have to ban me. And everyone else.
We are all Muslim.
Just as we are all Mexican, we are all Catholic and Jewish and white and black and every shade in between. We are all children of God (or nature or whatever you believe in), part of the human family, and nothing you say or do can change that fact one iota. If you don't like living by these American rules, then you need to go to the time-out room in any one of your Towers, sit there, and think about what you've said.
And then leave the rest of us alone so we can elect a real president who is both compassionate and strong -- at least strong enough not to be all whiny and scared of some guy in a ballcap from Michigan sitting next to him on a talk show couch. You're not so tough, Donny, and I'm glad I got to see the real you up close and personal all those years ago.
We are all Muslim. Deal with it.
All my best,
Michael Moore

CHELSEA FIRES MOURINHO

José Mourinho was sacked as the Chelsea manager on Thursday afternoon because of a “palpable discord with the players” according to the club’s technical director, Michael Emenalo.
GUUS HINDINK is primed to return to Stamford Bridge on a caretaker basis until the end of the season and, in the longer-term, Chelsea have designs on a clutch of managers, chief among them Diego Simeone of Atlético Madrid. There is also a long-standing interest in Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola, together with the Italy manager, Antonio Conte.
Mourinho was dismissed in a 10-minute meeting with the chairman, Bruce Buck, and the director, Eugene Tenenbaum – moments after he had finished his Christmas lunch at the staff’s annual party, which was attended by all the first-team squad.

The most successful manager in the club’s history departed after a dismal run of Premier League form, which has seen the defending champions drop to one point above the teams in the relegation zone.
Mourinho went on the offensive after Monday’s 2-1 defeat at Leicester City – which was a ninth defeat in 16 league games this season – when he accused some of the players of betraying his work. In effect, he had admitted they had stopped listening to him.
His most recent sack comes just seven months after winning the Premier League.
According to the report, “the 52-year-old has been dismissed with Chelsea 16th in the division and three points above the relegation zone following a dismal run of nine defeats in 16 games.”
