34 year old tennis player Serena Jameka Williams has been announced 2015's ‘Sportsperson of the Year’. Serena has been picked for reasons "that hang in the grayer" according to a news report. She won 53 of her 56 matches and had three of the four Grand Slam events. Sports Illustrated honors her dominating acheivement this year and for her career excellence. .
Serena is also the first active tennis player to be named since Chris Evert earned it in 1976. She is also the first woman to be honored on SPORT ILLUSTRATED magazine cover. Congrats girl!
