THE KANYE-AMBER-WIZ DRAMA! NA WA!

Kanye West, Amber RoseProtective mama Amber Rose is very unimpressed with ex Kanye West's latest antics.
On Wednesday, the 38-year-old rapper had unleashed a Twitter rant against her other ex, Wiz Khalifa, after he expressed annoyance with the title of Yeezy's new album, WAVES. During his tirade, Kanye got personal, saying Wiz "let a stripper trap him," referring to Rose's former job before she became a glamour model, and went as far as to tell him he "wouldn't have a child if it wasn't for me" and that he "owns" his child. Wiz and Rose are parents to 2-year-old Sebastian "The Bash" Taylor Thomaz.Rose soon got on Twitter and unleashed some pretty nasty responses of her own to Kanye.
Kanye, who has since deleted his mean tweets, has not responded to Rose.

Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian are parents to 2-year-old daughter North West and 1-month-old son Saint West. Wiz made no mention of them while interacting with Kanye on Twitter.
Rose said she was not surprised Kanye brought her son into it and called the rapper a clown.
"Listen, don't talk about my kid," she said. "That's all I got to say. Don't talk about my baby. I wouldn't have said anything if it was just between him and Wiz. That's two grown men hashing it out. I would've kept it cute and just minded my business. You don't' bring in my baby. That's so corny. That's the second time you did it this week."
Meanwhile, if Kanye, Rose and Wiz want to take the feud to the small screen, Jerry Springer has graciously offered to help.

THINGS TO DO ON FRIDAY TO MAKE MONDAY AMAZING!

Most people get excited that Friday is here, especially if the week has been hectic and packed. But often Fridays can seem like a waste (especially before holidays). Your brain, in anticipation of the time off, just says: I have had enough!  Then the afternoon just drags on and on.
You don't get a lot of help from your colleagues because the afternoon Friday lull is a commonly shared experience. Everyone's already thinking about the weekend and ready to go home, so productivity drops. But instead of giving in to the impulse to window-gaze and daydream, you can take the opportunity to get next week off to an awesome start. Here are seven ways:
1. Set up some exciting contacts. Give yourself something to look forward to. Spend the afternoon emailing new prospects or perhaps mentors. Set up a lunch for next week that makes you anticipate good things to come. People may be slow to reply since it's Friday afternoon, but in the worst case you'll come back Monday to some positive responses.
2. Organize the week. Go through next week's calendar and plan out the entire week. Set reminder alarms on your computer or smartphone calendar. Include all meetings, deadlines, and to-do items. Lay out a specific task list with apportioned hours. You'll clear your mind of that nagging feeling that you forgot something and have a truly relaxing weekend, leaving you happier on Monday.
3. Get one thing off your desk. Fridays are the time when it's most tempting to look at projects and tasks and say, "Oh, I'll just pick it back up Monday." So choose one of your ongoing projects and commit to getting it done before you leave. The satisfaction of accomplishment may even motivate you to do more today. And next Monday, you'll have the relief of knowing that task won't be on your desk to taunt you.
4. Shake up your routine. Reflect for a few moments on your usual weekly routine. Make a list of your typical distractions, the habits and stressors that keep you from starting the workweek with a bang. Make a list and then write down what you will do instead. Create a new routine that's uplifting and energizing. Put it where you will see it first thing Monday morning.
5. Work on your future. If you feel you simply can't push any more paper for your company today, put on some inspiring music and spend a little time writing some thoughts about your current career and life. Are you working toward your preferred future? Do you know where you want to be in five years? Make some notes and take them with you to consider over the weekend. When you come back Monday, you may have some clarity to help you decide how to spend your week--or whether it is time to start looking for new opportunities.
6. Surprise yourself. Hide some small treat in your desk drawer or file cabinet. It could be a gourmet chocolate bar, or another little indulgence you like. Put it there Friday afternoon and you'll have something delightful to look forward to on your return. The best part is when you forget all about it and make a startling, pleasant discovery during the week. It's kind of like your very own Easter egg hunt.                                                                                   Have a lovely weekend!

PREVENTING LASSA FEVER IN NIGERIA.

LASSAThe Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, recently confirmed reported cases of Lassa fever infection in Niger, Nasarawa, Plateau,Taraba, Rivers, Edo, Delta, Kogi, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Ekiti, Lagos State, Gombe State, Oyo State, Bauchi State, Kano State, Ondo State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
At a meeting of the National Council of Health in Abuja recently to adopt strategies for combating Lassa fever and other viral diseases in the country, he warned that health managers should not deceive executives by keeping silence on the spread of the disease.
The minister alleged that Ebonyi denied reporting five suspected Lassa fever cases and one death arising from the disease, describing the development as conspiracy that would hinder various precautions aimed at preventing the disease. Adewole, nonetheless, assured the public that the Federal Government would maintain high level of alert to eliminate the disease soon.
“With the resources available, we will collectively eliminate the disease in Nigeria soon; we have special facilities around us and we have adequate human resource to address the challenge.
“We will strengthen the primary healthcare centres across the country to enhance the surveillance mechanism,’’ he said.
The minister promised Nigerians that 5,000 primary healthcare centres would be activated before December.
“A committee had been set up to map out healthcare centres across the country that would benefit from the programme; at least one primary healthcare centre will be functional in a ward,’’ Adewole said.
The minister further announced that six most affected states — Niger, Nasarawa, Taraba, Plateau, Bauchi and Ondo — would have Lassa fever diagnostic centres in addition to the six existing Lassa fever treatment centres.
The existing centres are located in Irrua in Edo, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano,Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos, University College Hospital, Ibadan and the National Centre for Disease Control, Asokoro, Abuja.
He said the ministry had directed immediate supply of adequate quantities of anti-viral drug for Lassa fever to all the affected states.
Adewole added that the ministry had also deployed rapid response teams to all affected states to assist in investigating and verifying fresh cases of the disease.
He also said relevant healthcare workers had been sensitised and mobilized to provide effective healthcare to patients in the affected states.
He advised family members and healthcare workers to always be careful and avoid contact with blood and body fluids while caring for the sick infected by the disease.
He warned Nigerians against the use of rat poison to eliminate rodents, observing that it could result in food poisoning.
He, however, solicited the use of traps and drying of food items in protected environment to stop rats and other animals from invading homes.
He said effective collaboration with states and local governments on prompt information on the outbreak of any disease and dangers posed by Lassa fever would go a long way in curtailing the virus.
The minister directed health facilities in the country to emphasise routine infection prevention and control measures and ensure that all Lassa fever patients were treated free.
“Government had also raised a four-man expert committee, led by Prof. Michael Asuzu, to visit Kano State, Niger and Bauchi State.
“The committee will embark on a fact finding mission, assess the current situation, document response experiences, identify gaps and proffer recommendations on how to prevent future occurrences,’’ he said.
According t him, the task of the committee is to document lessons learnt for better planning of an affective responsive.
Beside this, he said the Federal Government had also given the Committee on the Eradication of Lassa fever in Nigeria, headed by Prof. Oyewale Tomori, President, Nigeria Academy of Science, a mandate to provide a one-health approach to the complete elimination of the disease in the country.
Adewole said the committee and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) would design an effective response plan for fighting and preventing the spread of Lassa fever in Nigeria.
He enjoined the committee to offer professional advice to the NCDC and the ministry to arrest current and future Lassa fever outbreaks in the country.
He advised the committee to use the fund provided for the assignment judiciously, promising that the ministry would provide enough funds.
In his response, Tomori pledged that the committee would do the needful to ensure the eradication of Lassa fever in Nigeria.
For the benefit of hindsight, 63 persons have died of Lassa fever out of 212 reported cases from the affected states as at Jan. 19.
Medical experts note that Lassa fever is an acute febrile illness involving bleeding and subsequent death in severe cases. It is caused by the Lassa fever virus with an incubation period of between six and 21 days.
The onset of the disease is accompanied by fever, general weakness, depression, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, chest pain, nausea and vomiting.
Other symptoms are diarrhoea, cough and bleeding from the mouth, nose, vagina or gastrointestinal tract and low blood pressure.
The host of the Lassa virus is a type of rats that has many breasts and lives in the bush and around residential areas.
The virus is shed in the urine and droppings of the rats and can be transmitted through direct contact, touching objects or eating food contaminated with these materials or through cuts or sores.
Person to person transmission also occurs most especially when a person comes in contact with the virus in the blood, tissue, secretions or excrements of an infected individual.
For effective prevention against Lassa fever spread, Dr Olutayo Haastrup, the spokesperson of the National Hospital Abuja, said that the hospital had designated isolation wards for the management of any suspected Lassa fever outbreak in Abuja and its environs.
According to him, the hospital had prepared four isolation wards and introduced standard precaution in handling any outbreak.
“The hospital is fully prepared, measures have been taken and as soon as we have any suspected case of Lassa, we will be proactive in handling it.
“We have created isolation wards in the hospital and all the necessary kits and facilities have been procured,’’ Haastrup said.
He said the hospital management had trained 200 health personnel in the hospital to raise more awareness on the treatment and management of the virus.
Further to these measures, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Nasarawa State said it had embarked on a statewide sensitisation to educate the people on ways to prevent the spread of Lassa fever in the state.
Mr Elisha Iyakwari, the Acting-State Director of the agency in the state, said the sensitisation was to educate the public on measures to adopt in the event of any suspected cases of the disease.
All in all, stakeholders in health sector commend the Federal Government on its response to the outbreak of the disease, observing that the government has demonstrated the will to prevent the spread Lassa fever and other virus diseases in Nigeria.                                          SOURCE:GUARDIAN

LONG DAY? HERE'S WHAT TO DO AFTER A LONG,STRESSFUL DAY.

Every so often we have a long day at work and sometimes coming back home is as tasking as the day itself considering the long, endless traffic or jumping in and out of public vehicles. Whether it’s the amount of work we need to do, conflicting priorities, or just many things going wrong, a long day at work can be challenging and hard to recover from. Here are a few tips for recovering after a long day at work.

1. Lie down and do nothing

One of the best ways to recover after work is just to lie down. This helps you feel relaxed and gives both your mind and your body a much needed rest from your day.
Lie down on your bed or couch. Close your eyes and do nothing. Don’t lie down to read a book or play with your phone, as this doesn’t really give your brain a rest. Don’t look around the room and notice what needs to be cleaned or put away, as this will just distract you. It’s kind of like meditation, but you don’t need to commit as much as meditation.
You don’t need to do this for very long. A few minutes can help you feel more relaxed. Ten or 15 minutes can be enough. If you need to have a nap, make it a short one, as it could disrupt your natural sleep cycle.

2. Get some exercise

Another way to feel good after a long day of work is to get some exercise. It’s only a couple of kilometres, but the act of running and breaking a sweat makes me feel better. It’s also a great way to reduce stress at work, if you make it part of your schedule.
You don’t have to go running if you don’t like to run. Try riding a bike, going to the gym, playing a sport, doing some yoga or pilates. Any kind of exercise will help you feel better after your long day at work.

3. Take a bath or shower

A great way to feel refreshed is to have a bath or a shower. Lying down in the tub for a while is very relaxing. Run some hot water into the bath, get in, and lie down for 20 minutes. This is similar to lying down on the bed for a while, as it can relax you and make you feel warm at the same time.
If you don’t have a tub, or don’t like to bathe, take a shower instead. Sometimes I like to have a shower after work if I’m feeling run down or sore, and it makes me feel better. Showers are quicker and the feeling of warm water on your head is great.

4. Change into comfortable clothes

It’s normal to change out of work clothes when you get home. Getting out of the suit, or uniform, at night time can make you more comfortable. However, it’s best to get into something that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Don’t stay in your work attire when you get home. If you’re feeling tired or drained, change into comfortable clothes, like track pants and a jumper. It might not be fashionable, but comfort should be the aim here and every little thing you can do to feel better will help.

5. Do something you enjoy

After your long day at the office, working hard, and getting things done for your team and your employer, you should take some time to do something that you want to do. Doing something you enjoy will make you feel better and might make you more relaxed.
Listen to some music, watch a movie or some TV, paint, cook dinner, or play guitar. Work on something you enjoy and that isn’t too draining, and you’ll probably find your mood increases.
I like to watch an episode of a TV show to relax. There’s a few that I watch and, if I need to recover, I can just switch off my brain for an hour and watch one of these shows.
I hope these tips can help you after your next big day at the office. If you’ve got any other tips, share them in the comments section below.

WARRI MONARCH TELLS YOUTHS TO STOP BOMBING PIPE LINES.

Scene of the pipeline bombingsAs Ateke condemns renewed attacks on oil facilities.Warri becomes no-go area to Tompolo, associates. WARRI—TWO first-class monarchs in Delta State, the Olu of Warri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli and the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Orhue I, have asked youths in the Niger Delta region to stop bombing crude oil and gas pipelines as a way of drawing government attention to their perceived grievances.
The monarchs, who spoke separately at their palaces when they played host to the Commander-General of Riverine Security Coast Guard of the Federation, Commander Oduku Bibi and his members, said the era of pipeline bombing was over with the successful implementation of the amnesty programme for ex-militants from the region.Ateke Tom condemns attack on oil facilities. Meanwhile, former Niger Delta agitator, Chief Ateke Tom, has condemned the recent attack on oil facilities in Delta State by suspected ex-militants.
Ateke, who currently is the leader of Niger Delta Vigilante, NDV,  admonished youths to desist from acts that threaten the peace and unity of the country, warning aggrieved youths to channel their grievances to appropriate quarters and stop acts of criminality and pipeline vandalism.
Ateke, speaking through his assistant on media, Mr. Ifeanyi Ogbonna, bemoaned the level of destruction done to oil facilities in Delta State, describing the acts as economic sabotage.
“Nobody has the right to take the law into his or her hands for whatever reason, to destroy government property. The oil installation you destroy today has  dire consequences on your tomorrow.  Poverty is not an excuse to commit crime. This country belongs to all of us and we should not destroy it. We should join hands with the present administration to build a better Nigeria of our dream.”
In another development, Warri, once a  rendezvous for ex-militants across the Niger Delta region, has become a no-go area  to them in the last few days, following the hunt by the Joint Task Force, JTF, for those who carried out the three-day bombing of crude oil and gas pipelines in Delta State.
Virtually all associates of the former General Officer Commanding, GOC, of Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, have fled Warri because they are under watch by the task force, which had stormed the houses of some of them.Meanwhile, the two monarchs  charged youths of the region to shun kidnapping, pipeline vandalism and all forms of criminality and embrace peace for the speedy development of the region.
They charged Niger Delta youths to embrace the peace initiative of the Riverine Security Coast Guard of the Federation, adding that securing oil installations was the responsibility of all Niger Delta.  The royal fathers tasked youths of the region to be their brothers’ keepers and support one another. They remarked that those vandalizing oil pipelines and spilling oil in the environment were not doing the government any harm, but were rather destroying the Niger Delta ecosystem.
The Orodje of Okpe said that with the current Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East and the steady fall in global oil price, the nation could not afford another crisis in the Niger Delta.
HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli, on his part, said that what the region needs now is peace to attract investors to create employment for youths, saying that no investor will take his investment to an area where there is unceasing crisis.Youths flee Warri.
A source disclosed, yesterday, that security agents visited the residence of a top manager of Oil Facility Surveillance Limited, OFSL, an oil facilities/installations’ safety, security and surveillance company in Delta State, owned by Tompolo, on Tuesday, but did not meet him.
“They arrested two young men found in the house. They have made several arrests but they appear to be targeting Tompolo’s boys. In fact, they have made Warri too hot for them,” the source said.
The top manager, who is on the run, is among those recently charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, along with Tompolo.
Security operatives were secretly watching Tompolo’s expansive mansion in Warri, which EFCC officials visited, last year, to serve a court process on him.
However, Tompolo does not frequently use his Warri residence. He prefers creek life and is always in Oporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West Local Government Area.

ERITREAN MEN ORDERED TO MARRY TWO WIVES OR GET JAILED

Eritrean men have been asked by the government to marry more than one wife or risk being jailed for life. This is contained in a statement in Arabic by the Grand Mufti (the highest official of religious law in the country) which scanned copy surfaced on social media sites on Thursday last week.
In the statement, Eritrea called for all men in the country to marry at least two wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and houses.According to the government, the order is because there is an acute shortage of men occasioned by causalities during the civil war with Ethiopia.
Afkinsider.com said the document, which could not be independently verified, warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”.The document in Arabic, which is in Arabic, says, “Based on the law of God in polygamy, and given the circumstances which the country is experiencing in terms of men shortage, the Eritrean department of Religious Affairs has decided on the following:
“First that every man shall marry at least two women and the man who refuses to do so shall be subjected to life imprisonment with hard labour.
“The woman who tries to prevent her husband from marrying another wife shall be punished to life imprisonment.”
More than 150,000 Eritrean soldiers were killed during the secession war from Ethiopia between 1998 and 2000. At the time Eritrea had about four million people.
Eritrea, is a country in the Horn of Africa. With its capital at Asmara, it is bordered by Sudan in the west, Ethiopia in the south, and Djibouti in the southeast. The northeastern and eastern parts of Eritrea have an extensive coastline along the Red Sea, across from Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
The nation has a total area of approximately 117,600 km, and includes the Dahlak Archipelago and several of the Hanish Islands. Its name Eritrea is based on the Greek name for the Red Sea, which was first adopted for Italian Eritrea in 1890.

HOW TO DEAL WITH A BOSSY SPOUSE.

Exercise more. Eat less. Eat more. Lower your voice. Spend more time with me. Everybody wants to tell you what to do -- especially the person you are with. These things are relationship killers.
Do you have a bossy spouse? In a restaurant, does he or she take control and not listen to your wants....what about when you are out with friends or when picking vacations?
If your spouse or partner tends to take over -- a lot of the time, how can you stop the demands from making you feel like you are being controlled?
There are lots of things we are comfortable doing that irritate our significant other, who has no qualms about voicing his or her frustrations. When your partner tells you what to do, the knee-jerk reaction is to get defensive.
Faced with a mandate, you might either fight back or just shut down, keeping your anger on a low flame. Sometimes, the demands can even prompt you to do the opposite as a protest against being bossed around. But it doesn't have to be that way.

The next time your partner gives you an order -- slow down when you drive, stop drinking soda, don't smoke, be more affectionate -- instead of feeling immediately angry and walking away, initiate a conversation. Ask why your loved one is concerned. What is your partner most worried about? Once he or she can share concerns about your driving speed (it's for your safety), smoking habit (it's for your health) or how much time you can give to the relationship (your partner wants to feel special), then you will be able to hear the love instead of the contempt that comes across in the bossy demands.
With that, you might feel motivated to work together and even deal with some of the behaviors that may be causing you potential harm. If you are aware of the issues, explain that you understand and are already working on them. So often we don't hear our loved one's real worries and needs because their concern comes through as criticism.
The next time your partner tells you to do something, ask why he or she cares instead of tuning out and dismissing the comment. Instead of causing a fight, it might be an opportunity to better understand how much you are loved.

I HATE MONDAYS!!! HERE ARE WAYS OF BEATING THAT FEELING!

I hate my job" says a set of negative emotions that many people get at the beginning of the workweek if they’re not happy at work. It contains elements of depression, tiredness, hopelessness and a sense that work is unpleasant but unavoidable.
The Monday Blues are so prevalent that they have become a cultural phenomenon, and this makes it easy to laugh them off as just the way things are. But they can be much more than just a passing tiredness; they are often a serious warning sign that something is not right at work. If you were happy, you’d be excited and energized on Mondays, not tired and depressed. If you love your job and are passionate about what you’re doing, going in to work Monday morning is another opportunity to do what you love But if you’re feeling under-appreciated or unsatisfied with your job, it can be especially difficult to start another seemingly endless workweek. As it turns out, your case of the Mondays can have a negative impact on your performance and productivity—as well as the people around you.   I chose to post this article because when I look around me,I see alot of people who dread mondays. So here are 11 ways to beat the dreaded Monday Blues and I hope it will be helpful. Thank me later!!!
1. Identify the problem. The first thing to do is to ask yourself what’s wrong. If you have the Monday Blues most weeks, then this is not something you should laugh off or just live with. It’s a significant sign that you are unhappy at work and you need to fix it or move on and find another.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      2. Prepare for Monday on Friday. Mondays can be extra stressful from work that has potentially piled up from the previous week and, for many, can be challenging to jump right back in. To help combat that Monday morning anxiety, be sure to leave yourself as few dreadful tasks as possible on Friday afternoon. By taking care of the things you least want to handle at the end of one work week, you’re making the start of the next that much better. If you do have any unpleasant tasks awaiting your attention Monday morning, get them done as early as possible so that you don’t spend the rest of the day procrastinating or feeling as if there’s a black cloud hanging over your head. Make that uncomfortable phone call, resolve that outstanding issue, or clean up that mess that’s waiting for you. You’ll feel a lot better once it’s over.
3. Make a list of the things you’re excited about. We often look at the week ahead of us and think of all the tough stuff we have to do and the difficult tasks ahead of us. Turn that around. Sunday evening, make a list of three things you look forward to at work that week. This might put you in a more positive mood. If you can’t think of three things you look forward to, that might be an indication that you need to make some changes.                                                     4. Get enough sleep and wake up early. Go to bed a little early on Sunday night and be sure to get enough sleep so that you wake up feeling well-rested. If you’re only running on a couple of hours of sleep, it’s unlikely that you’re going to feel good about going anywhere when the alarm goes off Monday morning.
5. Dress for success. Dress up, perk up and show up ready to be positive and help others be positive. Be the light and energy that makes others have a better day. Show and share your spirit, charisma and vibe and make yourself magnetic.                                                                                                                                                           6.Be positive. Start the week out with an attitude of gratitude. Take time to recognize and appreciate the things that you enjoy about work.
This starts before you even get to work. To pump yourself up on your way in to work, try listening to your favorite songs. Think about the type of playlist you would create for a workout, and incorporate that same upbeat, high-energy music into your morning preparation or commute.
When you get to the office, do your best not to be a complainer–and keep your Monday morning grumpiness to yourself. If you’re able to be a source of positivity in the workplace, not only will you make your day more enjoyable, but you’ll also make the work environment better for those around you.
7. Make someone else happy. Make a vow to do something nice for someone else as soon as you get to work on Monday. Doing nice things for other people definitely can lift the spirits, and in this case, it could actually help shift the overall mood in your office. Paying it forward can yield great results all around.
8. Keep your Monday schedule light. Knowing that Mondays are traditionally busy days at the office, a good strategy is keep you Monday schedule as clear as possible. When you’re planning meetings ahead, try to schedule them for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This will help you to come into Monday with more ease from the weekend.
9. Have fun at workTake it upon yourself to do things that you enjoy in the office on Monday. Maybe bring donuts for your colleagues or take a quick break to catch up with friend in the office. Sharing stories about the weekend with co-workers can be fun and also is a great way to strengthen your interoffice network.
10. Have a post-work plan.  Your day shouldn’t just be about trudging through Monday to get it over with, but about looking forward to something. By making Monday a special day where you get to go out with friends, make your favorite dinner, or eat a bowl of popcorn and catch up on a TV show you recorded, the day doesn’t have to be all about getting up to go into the office.                                                                                                                                           Have a lovely week ahead!!!
